The next WCSMF will be held on 1 July 2012 as part of the World Cities Summit. Under the theme "Liveable and Sustainable Cities", the discussion will focus on "Economic Vibrancy and Rejuvenation of Cities", "Strategies to be a Competitive and Attractive Global City" and "Integrated Urban Solutions for building Sustainable and Liveable Cities".
