WCS Opening Plenary
Liveable & Sustainable Cities: Rejuvenation, Reinvention, Reimagine

Cities are dynamic, human ecosystems. They are key economic drivers and centers of population. While cities across the world are subject to disruptions, stresses and financial constraints, they also have great capacity to evolve and adapt.

The WCS Opening Plenary will discuss how leaders shape national policies and strategic planning to facilitate resource allocation and financing to support city-level development implementation. How can we balance economic growth with sustainability, inclusivity, and adaptation to climate change, while considering the dynamic needs of urban populations and national trends?
